I don’t think Villa Awang Awang is ‘Between Heaven and Earth’, I think it is Heaven on Earth. We left after a few days stay and went to Seminyak and then returned to Awang Awang. It was like coming home. Every single staff member has been gracious and kind.

This is a very special place and we have been privileged to have shared it for the last 11 days. The beauty of course is partly the inspired architecture of the Villa which captures the breezes and made us very comfortable. It is partly the magnificent setting overlooking the lush jungle with the constant background noise of the waterfall as well as the chickens. It is also the adventure we have experienced from the walks through the paddy fields to the awesome sunrise from the top of Gunung Batur, the constant procession of ceremonies.  And of course it is the warmth and charm of the staff who have shared their lives , their families and their village with us. We are deeply grateful.
