The Village and Staff

The villa is part of the village of Melayang and our guests are always warmly welcomed at the many temple ceremonies. Staff can assist you with the sarong and sash required to attend ceremonies.

As in all Balinese houses, the Gods have their home within our home. Every morning our local priest presents offerings to the Gods both inside the house and at the various house temples in the garden.

All our staff are from Melayang or the adjacent village of Bintang Kuning, (Yellow Star.) They are also accomplished carvers, painters and musicians.

After 3 weeks in this lovely place we were all feeling rested and happy. The whole staff did a great job of looking after us and we are truly grateful for their help. It was truly a pleasure to live in this lovely, pleasant village full of welcoming friendly people.
